Our client is a large international cybersecurity company specializing in enterprise security solutions for servers, containers, and cloud environments. With a global presence across the US, UK, and Asia, the company operates complex logistics and warehouse processes.
The primary goal was to build a highly reliable warehouse order fulfillment system that could function seamlessly even in environments with unstable or unavailable internet connectivity, ensuring uninterrupted operations and accurate order processing.

Warehouse environments often suffered from poor or intermittent internet access, making traditional cloud-dependent systems unreliable for daily operations.
Warehouse staff had to quickly and accurately identify orders using barcodes and validate them against physical documentation.
Each product was tagged with RFID, requiring real-time scanning and validation during picking and handover.
All order data processed offline had to be securely synchronized with the central system once connectivity was restored, without data loss or conflicts.
We designed and delivered an offline-first warehouse order fulfillment system combining a web-based management platform with an industrial handheld scanning device.
We built a web platform where different user roles could manage products, create and configure orders, assign them to specific warehouses, and export order data.
We developed a dedicated application for an industrial handheld scanner that allowed warehouse workers to download multiple orders and process them entirely offline.
Orders were exported from the web system as XML files and stored on a local warehouse server. These files were accessible through a structured folder system and could be downloaded by the scanner via FTP.
Once the scanner was placed back on its docking station and internet connectivity was available, all processed orders were automatically synchronized back to the central database.
Using RFID scanning, warehouse staff could verify each product in real time by physically scanning items while holding the scanner trigger, ensuring correct quantities and product matching.
Each order was identified using a barcode printed on the courier’s order sheet. Workers could scan the barcode or manually enter the order ID to retrieve order details on the device.

The solution enabled warehouse teams to process multiple orders fully offline without operational interruptions. Order picking accuracy significantly improved due to barcode and RFID validation, while synchronization ensured that central systems always reflected real warehouse activity.
Zero downtime during network outages—warehouse staff process orders continuously regardless of connectivity status.
Dual-layer verification (barcode + RFID) reduced picking and fulfillment errors significantly.
Elimination of connectivity wait times accelerated order processing speed by enabling continuous workflow.
Multi-order offline processing capability ensures warehouse productivity even during extended connectivity issues.
Engineered a robust offline-first architecture that solves real-world connectivity challenges, demonstrating deep expertise in industrial and distributed systems design
Invested time to understand actual warehouse workflows and worker needs, translating operational requirements into practical technical solutions rather than imposing generic software
The solution was built with scalability and maintainability in mind, enabling future enhancements, additional warehouses, and new device integrations without re-architecting the system.
